About Bert Hinkel:

Bert has been with the Office of English as a Second Language for the past six years. He attended the University of California at Santa Cruz graduating with a dual degree in Anthropology and History. After a year in Japan teaching English, he returned to the United States where he taught an elementary school's ESL class for seven years. He then went on to complete the teacher credential program at California State University at San Marcos.

He enjoys exploring the world and water sports.
