All ESL students receive a TDU Student ID card, and have access to all university facilities, the Student Fitness and Recreation Center, student resources, activities, and events.
Access to Campus Parking
International students who have a car will have access to campus parking zones. You must purchase a parking pass for the amount of time you will need the parking space. Contact the TDU Transportation Office for further details about parking zones, passes, and prices.
Academic Advising
The International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) Office provides academic advising for college and university admissions. Advisors are always available to discuss further academic studies for career possibilities.
Progress Evaluation
The ESL Office will perform student progress evaluations every 3 weeks to analyze learning comprehension and communication skills of all ESL students.
Conversation Partner Program
The ESL program offers a conversation partner program during the summer sessions. Each ESL student who wants to participate is matched with a native English speaker who is a TDU student, staff member, or faculty member. Conversation partners meet regularly throughout the ESL session, approximately once a week, and talk about anything they want. The Conversation Partner Program offers ESL students and native English speakers the opportunity to learn about each others countries and cultures.
The Language and Culture Center
The Language Center offers rooms that provide technical support services for the instruction of foreign languages, literature, and cultures. The Language and Culture Center Resource Room is available for students and faculty to view language-related media. The Resource Room and Writing Center offer student tutoring.
Immersion and Integration on the TDU campus
ESL students enjoy complete immersion and integration on the TDU campus. ESL classes are held in regular TDU classrooms and international students constantly have the opportunity to intermingle with native English-speaking students at Terra Dotta University. In addition to keeping students informed of campus events, the International Student and Scholar Services Office plans numerous social and recreational activities for ESL students.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
The ISSS Office promotes a global perspective for the TDU community through educational and programmatic outreach while fostering the holistic development of international students/scholars by providing support services and immigration advising.
