Immigration Information

Prospective international students in need of a valid I-20
The ESL Program is authorized to issue the I-20 form that is required for ESL studies and to obtain an F-1 student visa.  Prospective international students desiring an I-20 must present the following documentation to the Terra Dotta University ESL Office:
  • Confirmation of financial resources
  • Most recent academic transcript
  • Copy of passport
Current international students with a valid I-20

Current international students with a valid I-20 must present the following documentation to the Terra Dotta University ESL Office:
  • I-20 form
  • F-1 visa
  • Confirmation of financial resources
  • Most recent academic transcript
  • Copy of passport
Transfer students

Transfer students must present the following items to the ESL Office:
  • Signed transfer form from the foreign student advisor at the school the student last attended
  • Copy of the I-20 form from the school last attended
  • F-1 visa
  • I-94 admission form
F-1 student visa information

The prospective F-1 student should present the following papers to a US Consulate:
  • Passport
  • Confirmation of financial resources
  • I-20 form
  • Receipt for I-901 SEVIS fee
To retain F-1 visa status, a student must attend a full course of study (20 hours per week) in the Terra Dotta University Intensive English Program or work full-time and attend nightly Communication Skills classes.  Prospective students must enter the U.S. with a student visa.
